Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!
--------------

To be excited that Military Spouse mentioned an article I wrote for GI Jobs. You can check it out here. If you click on my name there, you can find another article I wrote.

To think it's funny that Vicki from The Real Housewives of OC is appalled that her daughter is moving to Oklahoma. She's near where I live. Vicki was all, "What do people from Oklahoma even eat?" Um. Food?

To be sad that Rik Mayall, who played Drop Dead Fred, died yesterday.

To sort of wish I could wear those modest swimsuits that the Duggar girls sport. I always feel ridiculous in a swimsuit.

To have liked the book Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I want to read her other books now.

To be excited that I get to eat on the riverwalk for my birthday next week. We're flying out to see my parents on the 18th. Tom won't be there because of his school. Boo.

To have also guest posted on Shell's blog, Things I Can't Say, here.

To be waiting to watch the latest Game of Thrones because I promised Tom I'd watch them with him. I hope he can come home this weekend. Last weekend we watched the episode with the really gross ending. I sort of wish I could un-see it.

To have two giveaways at the moment. You can win CHOCOLATE! You can win a Snickers Prize Pack here and a Twix Prize Pack here.

To be happy that Natalie kept trying when she went roller skating for the first time. She fell down. A lot. But was determined.

  1. Can I say that now I am depressed? I love Twix, too bad I don't live in the US at the moment!

P.S. Yes, we do have Twix in Croatia but the store is only 5 miles away from the house and without a car in this heat... Yeah, no. Shade it is.

  4. I kind of wish that about the Duggars' bathing suits, too. Bathing suits and I are not friends. Like, at all.

  5. CONGRATULATIONS! That’s a first class mention! You deserve it. And hey! You live near Vicki’s daughter and I live near Vicki. She really does act crazy ignorant…mostly because she is. I love the idea of a swimsuit but then I look sixty with one on. And I was sad drop dead fred died too. He was so young! And determination in a female is one of my top three fave qualities. It’s important to get back up when you fall down. You’re raising a winner :]

  8. Check out http://www.reyswimwear.com/ I just saw a video of her speaking and her swimsuits are cute, but not revealing. :)

  9. It's ok that I have no shame in the fact that I am seriously considering entering BOTH contests even though I have barked and griped about gaining 10 lbs but yet bark and gripe even more about going to the gym.

    Uh, huh. Yeah.

  10. I always have to wait for my hubby to watch Game of Thrones too (depending on what work schedule he's on)! Just know, you are not alone!!

Funny about the Real Housewives daughter moving to OK and the mom wondering what people ate!!!
Good for Natalie to keep trying on the skates!!

  13. I love that you referenced the Duggars, I can't stop watching that show! I feel bad for them that they can't wear pants though.. but hey, at least they're allowed to hold hands once they're engaged bahaha

  15. Yay for her for keeping at it. My niece cried so much her first time. I need to take my nephew... although I know he'll cry too. Good for her!

  18. I know! Game of thrones is always gross and violent but that was ridiculous.
I mean people went havoc about the rape. And when i read that i was like what rape? I found out everybody went mad when they twins did it in front of the body of their son.. I do n't want to sound unfeministic but that did not look to me like rape.
But, the reason that reaction surprised me because we have seen so much worse in this show, and even from those characters. But, the thing you mentioned is the worst thing i have seen...ever!!!!

  20. I havent been skating in forever I really want to go now LOL

    Who are the duggars?

  21. Such a diverse list! I wouldn't think anything anyone on any Real Housewives show would be valid. Those people are idiots, from the episodes of the show I've seen. I didn't know at first that the actor who died was from Drop Dead Fred. Sad story indeed.

  22. You eat food in OKlahoma? haha! That's too funny.

I think wearing a swimsuit like the Duggar's would make me more self conscious because it is so different from what everyone else is wearing.

  23. I love Drop Dead Fred. I was sad too. Vicki from RHOC is ridiculous - but in a fun, weird way :)

  24. I was so sad to hear about Rik Mayall. I loved "The Young Ones".

  25. Good for Natalie!! Skating is hard. It wears me out, but I love it. It's so hard to stick back with the kids when we go. I really just want to take off and roll!!

  26. Love this idea of "It's Okay Tuesday!" And I'm also a fan of Fangirl...I'd suggest Eleanor & Park as well!
