When you're a military spouse, this is never a good thing.
Camo gear. All over the living room floor.
My heart always squeezes when I see it, because it means he's leaving. Again.
And then.
Then when he packs the helmet with his BLOOD TYPE on it, you worry.
"It's a good thing," Tom assures me, because I always pale when I see it. "If something happens, they can help quickly."
Sometimes I think, "Why can't he have a job where he doesn't need to have his blood type written everywhere?"
But Tom wouldn't be happy in a job where nothing happens.
I always hope he'll be okay. He has to be.
I always hope time passes quickly so then he's home again.
Camo gear. All over the living room floor.
I hate the sight of it.

ReplyDelete{{{hugs}}} Camo gear all over my living room just means my husband is going hunting and he'll be grumpy for a week if he doesn't get anything! I hope this deployment goes by quickly for you guys!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days. I hated it too. I can still remember the smell, the feelings, and my urge to unpack everything. Wishing you and your family all the best!

Wishing him many safe prayers and wishing I could come over and bring your Oreos.
:-( So brave, though. I didn't know they put their blood types on their helmets. Lots of prayers for a safe return.
ReplyDeleteYou, your husband, AND your children are true heroes. Will be thinking of you and praying for his quick and safe return :)!
ReplyDeleteI hate it for you, but I'm grateful he does it.
ReplyDelete{{hugs}} My stomach always knots up when I see the bags. :(
ReplyDeleteHugs friend. This was me last week. I even said the same exact thing about his helmet. Hang in there, we got this.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I'm sorry. The military really doesn't waste anytime getting the boys out do they? I feel like he just got notice and now he's gone. That is awful, I'm so sorry.
