Happy Halloween!
Here are things that I plan on doing today:
1. Order pizza for dinner. I'm not cooking on a holiday.
2. Remind Natalie to say thank you. Sometimes she gets overexcited when a wad of chocolate is dumped in her bag. I understand. I'd get excited too. But still. Say thank you.
3. Dodge families who feel the need to take over the ENTIRE sidewalk. Do people not understand that you're supposed to go single file so people can pass? Maybe it's just Oklahoma.
4. Pass out candy when we return. I was going to leave a bowl out with a PLEASE TAKE ONE sign. But then someone said that a teenager took the entire contents of her bowl--PLUS HER BOWL--so everyone will have to wait until we get back to get our delicious Jelly Bellies, Twix bars, and M&Ms. (No weird candy here.)
5. Go through the children's bags. Toss out the weird candy. Take the ones I want, because I gave them life, so it's my right.
6. Proceed to eat the candy as I watch trash television. Kendra On Top is on tonight. Her husband might have messed around with a transsexual.
Hope your night is a fun one. (To see more of my kids in their Halloween costumes, click here!)

Have a fun Halloween with your kiddos! :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha! #5 all the way :D
ReplyDeleteHA! Love it! Enjoy Halloween! Love your kids costumes this year!
ReplyDeleteIts cold and crappy here in Illinois, not fun for Halloween. May YOIR night go much better. Save me some Kit Kats!
ReplyDeleteWe always respect the bowl. About half the houses in the neighborhood leave a bowl out and kids usually only take one piece.
ReplyDeleteI honestly have to say ... your family costume theme is probably one of the best I've ever seen! So original! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and happy Halloween with your kiddos Amber!
ReplyDelete#5 is a must!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your kids. Their costumes are fantastic!
That's pretty much my night too. I am seriously loving your theme costumes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! I thught about leaving a bowl also, but kids are jerks. I'll probably do what you're doing..
ReplyDeleteLeftovers for dinner here! The delivery guys hate to drive in our neighborhood on Halloween, it's overrun with kids.
ReplyDeleteLove your T-shirt and that picture of you and the kids! Enjoy your Friday night - it will be more fun when you are watching TV eating chocolate!!!
ReplyDeleteBahaha love it! The kids here just dart across the road whenever they please. And the parents? Let them..
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA perfect. Hope it was an awesome night. I left candy outside. As I was walking down the driveway a herd of teenaged boys came up - I said, "Hey, just don't take it all, ok? Leave some for the other kids."
ReplyDeleteSure enough, we went one house down, realized we'd forgotten a hat for the small fry (it was freezing here), and upon returning home saw the candy bowl was EMPTY.
We were gone for 3 minutes.
PUNKS!
Sounds like a pretty perfect Halloween to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI steal candy too! Last night I spent the night keeping an eye on a group of teenagers dressed up like Harry potter characters that were over for a party at our house. It was a long night.
ReplyDeleteI hope you did all of that!!
ReplyDeleteI steal Des' candy. I gave him life and he's only two and he doesn't know.
Scarlet is onto me too.
Also, pizza is a required Halloween meal, right? And it becomes positively vitamin-packed when compared to candy for dinner.
I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to find candy still in my bowl. Kids were obeying the sign I left out.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to watch Kendra last night. I really want to know if he did it.
Pizza is a Halloween staple. We make chili sometimes, too.
ReplyDeleteYou give out Jelly Bellies???? I'm so trick or treating in your neighborhood next year :p those are my FAVORITE!
ReplyDeleteYes to takeout and trashy TV. Getting all the good candy is your parental right!! Hehe!
ReplyDeleteI just love love love your costumes this year! And it is your right to raid their I mean..check their candy. lol
