Lately, our weather has been going like this: scary clouds roll in.
And then the rain falls. Flooding occurs. Sometimes a tornado might pop up.
This happened last week. Because of the weather, an animal safari was hit and animals were loose. So you might have seen this floating around on social media.
Living in Oklahoma can be an adventure, guys. It's especially fun when your husband is deployed. You're stuck getting everyone into the shelter. You'd think it would be easy, but if you have a little girl who feels the need to save EVERY SINGLE TOY she owns, it can get frustrating. And then you have to try and wrangle the cat into the shelter. A cat who meows at the top of his little cat lungs and claws up your arm.
I wish we could share some of this rain with California. I know they really need it. It seems to be raining here almost every day.
To the point where Natalie's school got flooded. She was out two days last week because of it. Then rumors were floating around that they wouldn't go back for the rest of the year. They don't get out until May 22nd. My first instinct was to go, "That's bullsh*t!" and panic. But then I remembered there are laws. Laws that say a child must go a certain amount of days of school. I relaxed.
Yes, the school was closed the rest of the year.
But the kids were going to finish at a nearby church.
At this point, I am over the rain. It's supposed to rain the rest of the week. I keep saying, "Please go to California," but it's not listening.
I'm ready for the sun.

I'm loving the rain in Texas, but I think I might be the only one! I don't like how dangerous it can be, but I might could be happy with rainy days forever.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pain! My friend in TX said it's been raining a lot by her too. I can't say I miss living in the midwest. LOL! Then again, I'm more at risk for hurricanes in the east coast. :P
ReplyDeleteWe've been having a lot of rain here lately and it gets really old.
ReplyDeleteWhat a huge pain about Natalie's school. Also, the way you fee about rain is how I felt about snow these past two winters. Send it to those who need it. We're all full up here.
ReplyDeleteOh man, glad everyone is okay. We haven't had much rain here but I agree send some to California!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad y'all are safe! I thought when I moved from Texas to Illinois I was done with tornadoes, but that wasn't the case. Now that I am in South Carolina, I have to worry about hurricanes!!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a peaceful and restful weekend!
XOXO

Oh man well at least she's able to finish school!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the rain but glad you are safe from the tornadoes and tigernados.
ReplyDeleteI tell the rain here the same thing - go the **** west already! We don't need you! It sounds so scary. I personally hope you move somewhere else soon - like western Mass!! (just kidding - wherever you are happy is where you should be)
ReplyDeleteI love storms but not the damage they cause, although Tigernado is pretty funny :)
ReplyDeleteWe get amazing storms here in Sing and I love them! Love watching the dark clouds roll in. I only hate them when I'm trying to go somewhere because then the whole city shuts down!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to send my rain to California for years - no such luck. Hope you have sunshine soon!
ReplyDeleteI love all that crazy weather myself, but I can imagine it would be quite an ordeal trying to get kids to get in the shelter as well. I'm glad she's still able to go to school for the rest of the year! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Dammam Snake Company is searching everywhere for the best means to eliminate snakes, due to its severe damage. Thanks to the company's team, it has been able to be one of the best companies working in fighting and eliminating snakes.
