Things That Annoy Me Thursday: Weird Halloween Signs

Pretend it's Halloween now.

You're out with your kids. Or if you don't have kids, you want some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so you're out in costume hoping to score some.

But then you see this sign at a house:

What would you do?

I'd be like:

Because yes, I do curse in front of my children.

But I'd also be outraged. Why does everything have to be offensive these days?

Now, my kids are being characters from Beetlejuice this year:

I wouldn't think anything would be offensive. But some people could be all, "Oh, I don't serve candy to someone depicting a dead person. That's the Devil's game."

Or some nonsense like that.

But seriously. Knock it off. If a kid wants to dress as a Native American, fine. If someone wants to run around being a soldier, the people who, I don't know, keep us safe, good on them.

Everyone is welcome at my house.

And I do have Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

  14. My rule to receive candy is you must be in costume. I don't care what it is, but it must be a costume.

  15. Huge kudos to you! I don't mind people having an opinion but I, too, am tired of all the whining and being offended BS. Goodness gracious, if we all had the same opinion we'd be robots. Love your kids' costumes!
