I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to have stayed in and watched Fuller House with my kids on New Years Eve. I also ate a lot of cheese.
....to have thought Jumanji was a funny movie. My kids liked it too!
....to need the weather in Texas to get warmer. I do not like the cold.
....to have taken down all the Christmas decorations, including the tree.
....to think it's weird that my kids go back to school on Wednesday. They had an odd winter break schedule.
....to rarely make resolutions because I don't want to stress if I don't follow through. Basically I always try to be a good person and grow my blog and social media accounts.
....to have watched all the firework displays in the neighborhood when it hit midnight on Monday. I don't bother buying any; people set off enough.

Wow those are a lot of fireworks for a personal display! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt is okay and like you I devoured so much cheese and still do and can't wait for the cold to be over.
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw Star Wars last night and there were a lot of people there to see Jumanji. I remember loving the book but not so much the first movie. I'll maybe this a shot, though.
ReplyDeleteI will gladly take your Texas weather!! It is currently -22 with the wind chill here, and we are under an extreme cold warning =( I spent New Year's day watching Fuller House...great way to start the new year =)
ReplyDeleteHaha I too ate a lot of cheese over the festive season and that is ok! I am totally cool with that. On another note HAPPY NEW YEAR!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts you have been doing. Really super cool, thanks! xo, Suzanne
ReplyDeleteI'm noticing that most schools are going back on Wednesday. It's definitely an odd schedule.
ReplyDeleteWe loved Jumanji and I can not wait to see it again. I already took all of my decorations down.
ReplyDeleteCheese must be the theme. I found a jalapeno havarti I ate way too much of this holiday and also found several holiday cheese memes also.. I'm with you on the fireworks.. No shortage of those in my neighborhood.. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty interesting, never seen a post like this before. But hey, it is okay. I like your strange random lost, the school starting on a Wednesday one really threw me off though!!!
ReplyDeleteWatching fireworks with family is the best. We also don't buy fireworks, only making sound and some noise. For the fireworks, we leave it to the neighbourhood. There are already amazing fireworks.
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw Star Wars last night and there were a lot of people there to see Jumanji. I remember loving the book but not so much the first movie. I'll maybe this a shot, though.
ReplyDeleteFun idea, we might try it out at home! We made a few resolutions but realistic ones!
ReplyDeleteWe saw Jumanji the other day and LOVED it. I thought it was a million times better than the original! Jack Black made the movie.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how much we liked the Jumanji movie. Christmas decorations were down and put away christmas night. It is extremely cold here and will be for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI always love it when you do these posts. I'm so with you on the cold weather!
ReplyDeleteYou know I always look forward to your "Hey It's OK posts". It's so cool! I miss the cold weather!
ReplyDeleteIt is okay to have stayed in for New Year's Eve. I like that you watched Fuller House. We binge watch on that one too. :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this article. i am hoping the same best work from you in the future as well. in fact your creative writing abilities has inspired me to start my own blog now. Really the blogging is spreading the wings rapidly .
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to spend New Years Eve inside with the kids, just relaxing. And there's nothing wrong with not buying fireworks when everyone else sets them off on your block.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post. And I'm with you. No resolutions.
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas is still up!! Hahaha, and that's ok! :-) I totally want to see Jumanji! And we are watching those episodes right now that Fuller House added.
ReplyDeleteI was glad to be able to rest for this holiday. Starting the new year off rested is very helpful.
ReplyDeleteI love the Hey Its Ok series. I loved Jumanji I was 10 when the 1st one in 1996 came out so to see it 20 years later was so interesting and it was well done!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your "Hey its okay" posts. I saw Jumanji this past week and WOW! I never watched the original one so I don't know how much I'm missing out on but this new one was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI love your message, It's gives us freedom to be us. In this world there a millions of eyes looking at our back observing every move and decissions that we make. I just remember the number of suicide case in South Korea, I wanna shoutout to Koreans that "Hey It's okay"
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the fireworks on New Years. A lot of people set off fireworks in our neighborhood this year too.
ReplyDeleteI love the firework picture from New Years! I heard great things about the new Jumanji and I can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteI totally like this idea. I put up anything that resembled Christmas before the new year. lol My kids also like Jumanji.
ReplyDeleteI watched Fuller House (last season) alone so who would I be to judge. Every year I take the decorations down usually on New Years, depending on the day of the week it falls.
ReplyDeleteWe too have stopped buying fireworks and enjoy the ones set off by others. That much less pollution. And I guess it is okay.
ReplyDeleteI thought Jamaji was a really good movie, really funny. My boyfriend was not a fan but hey to each there own. Happy New Year! Cheers to more laughter ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts so much. They're so reassuring to see that other people feel the same way about rarely-discussed topics. I also think my kids' winter break schedule is weird. I can see why resolutions are not needed if you are always trying to grow your blog.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that it's also really okay to have some resolutions that are left attained. For me as long as you did good over the whole year is enough even if you did not fulfil your resolutions during the year.
ReplyDeleteI love this post. This is so refreshing and such a great list. And while I don't do resolutions anymore, it is okay if some are left unattained.
DeleteI love your Hey It's Okay posts. We took down our Christmas decorations the day after Christmas because we had a road trip planned for the following day. I typically leave the decorations up until after the New Year, but not this year and I'm okay with that. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI had to LOL when I read that it's okay to think Jumanji is funny. I do as well. It's 20 degrees here and I want warm weather too.
ReplyDeleteI totally get what you mean by hardly setting any resolutions. I am bad with going through with them but I still make some. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is good to hear you thought Jumaji was good - I was so worried about what it might be like when I heard they were doing it but looking forward to seeing it now.
ReplyDeleteI want to watch jumanji! So I can support Kevin & the rock. But I think it's a kid movie right?
