Here's the deal: there's a pandemic going on. If you go to Walt Disney World and purchase the Memory Maker, you must keep your masks on for the photos. Memory Maker is $69 for one day, or $199 for the entire vacation. (You can pay $169 if you pay in advance.) If you don't know what Memory Maker is, it's basically all your photos taken by the PhotoPass Photographers. You'll also get attraction photos.
So is Memory Maker still worth it?
Well.
I think so.
Having masks worn in photos will remind you of what the world was like in 2020, so it didn't bother me that we had to keep them on.
There are still plenty of PhotoPass Photographers around the parks ready to take your pictures.
Yes, there are still Magic Shots available:
Ride shots are still there. This shows the difference between my daughter and I. She loves the drops. I do not.
We even had a photographer take some senior shots:
Yes, military families can still get a discount. I paid $99.
Masks didn't bother us. And if they don't bother you?
Absolutely, the Memory Maker is still worth it.

I know you can't do otherwise but these masks are horrible ç_ç I hate them, it almost seems to take away our smile, the ability and the need to express ourselves. In fact, sooner or later they will disappear and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten the Memory Maker, but we used to do Photo Pass when they did it that way!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun!! I live not too far from Disney and haven't been in awhile. Its so hot from May to January. Other members of my family have gotten the Memory Maker and loved it. The kids still love to look back at them.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I hate wearing a mask because I feel hot and sweaty. It does look like your family adjusted so well and is having a great time anyway.
ReplyDeleteOMG good point!!! The photos taken on the rides - talk about "remember 2020" convo starters!
ReplyDeleteWearing masks at this time is definitely part of the experience it's a reminder of how you went and had fun while still following guidelines I think the memories taken are worth it for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. The masks will always help you remember the nightmare that was 2020 and how you survived it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Memory Maker is worth it. We loved not having to ask others to take our pics. And the cute surprise guests that make it into our photos.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your pictures. It looks like it's worth it! Love the Disney characters that are put into the photos.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever used the memory maker at the parks, but these look like fun photo ops!
ReplyDeleteAnyone can see that you had great time. I am so glad for you. Family time is so important!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I didn't know memory maker was a thing. Loving the first pic with the ghouly!
ReplyDeleteWe loved using Memory Maker when we went in December. There were a few times it was a little glitchy (temporarily giving us random people's pics LOL) but it was so worth it!
ReplyDeleteI have not taken trips like this during ng the pandemic so it was nice to see the adventure theiugh someone else's eyes.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until the time when we will all throw away these horrible masks! It looks like you had a real adventure and fun there! :)
ReplyDeleteYes masks are important and it shows what the world was like in 2020 but it still creeps me out to see everyone wearing them. All the time. Like the world is ending.
ReplyDeleteWe're in the middle of planning our vacay for next year and this is SO helpful!
ReplyDeleteWearing a mask might be inconvenient but it is a simplest way that we shield us to the virus. I like your Disneyland photos! I miss our moments as well when we visit Tokyo Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteIt will certainly be memorable to look back on these photos! I have never been to Disney and this looks like fun regardless of the masks.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Disney World but I can tell you that the Memory maker will be worth it! Mask doesn't bother me at all! I love wearing mask!
ReplyDeleteI hadn’t heard of Memory Maker before but when I finally get the chance to go, I’ll definitely pay a bit extra for it! I’m glad you thought your money was well spent
ReplyDeleteWe just went last week and I wish we hadn't spent the money on Memory Maker. Over half our pictures are either blurry, overexposed, the lighting all wrong, or taken at weird angles. I have maybe 10 pictures from an entire week that are salvageable. :(
