Is Memory Maker At Walt Disney World Worth It During A Pandemic?

Here's the deal: there's a pandemic going on. If you go to Walt Disney World and purchase the Memory Maker, you must keep your masks on for the photos. Memory Maker is $69 for one day, or $199 for the entire vacation. (You can pay $169 if you pay in advance.) If you don't know what Memory Maker is, it's basically all your photos taken by the PhotoPass Photographers. You'll also get attraction photos.

So is Memory Maker still worth it?

Well.

I think so.

Having masks worn in photos will remind you of what the world was like in 2020, so it didn't bother me that we had to keep them on.

There are still plenty of PhotoPass Photographers around the parks ready to take your pictures.

Yes, there are still Magic Shots available:

Ride shots are still there. This shows the difference between my daughter and I. She loves the drops. I do not.

We even had a photographer take some senior shots:

Yes, military families can still get a discount. I paid $99.

Masks didn't bother us. And if they don't bother you?

Absolutely, the Memory Maker is still worth it.

  1. I know you can't do otherwise but these masks are horrible ç_ç I hate them, it almost seems to take away our smile, the ability and the need to express ourselves. In fact, sooner or later they will disappear and I can't wait!

  3. Oh how fun!! I live not too far from Disney and haven't been in awhile. Its so hot from May to January. Other members of my family have gotten the Memory Maker and loved it. The kids still love to look back at them.

  4. I have to admit I hate wearing a mask because I feel hot and sweaty. It does look like your family adjusted so well and is having a great time anyway.

  7. That is so true. The masks will always help you remember the nightmare that was 2020 and how you survived it.

  13. We loved using Memory Maker when we went in December. There were a few times it was a little glitchy (temporarily giving us random people's pics LOL) but it was so worth it!

  16. Yes masks are important and it shows what the world was like in 2020 but it still creeps me out to see everyone wearing them. All the time. Like the world is ending.

  18. Wearing a mask might be inconvenient but it is a simplest way that we shield us to the virus. I like your Disneyland photos! I miss our moments as well when we visit Tokyo Disneyland.

  21. I hadn’t heard of Memory Maker before but when I finally get the chance to go, I’ll definitely pay a bit extra for it! I’m glad you thought your money was well spent

  22. We just went last week and I wish we hadn't spent the money on Memory Maker. Over half our pictures are either blurry, overexposed, the lighting all wrong, or taken at weird angles. I have maybe 10 pictures from an entire week that are salvageable. :(
