Easy Chocolate Covered Belgian Waffles

You all know I am all about easy. The less steps, the better. Being in the kitchen is not my jam, but I do love to eat, so unfortunately I have to venture in there. Also, we can't afford a cook, so if we want, you know, MEALS, I have to deal with the dread.

But.

As I said before, I love easy. And these chocolate covered Belgian waffles are easy. Belgian waffles are incredible--I lived in Belgium and got to have the authentic made-on-the-street ones. I miss them. You cannot find them like that in States. Or maybe you can, but I haven't yet. I hate when restaurants SAY they have Belgian waffles, but then there's no pearl sugar baked in them so no, they are NOT Belgian waffles.

Anyway.

I found these Belgian waffles at Walmart and they DO have the pearl sugar. Not as good as the freshly made ones in Belgium, but they'll do. Some people might be all, "Well, I'd rather make my own waffles." You do you. Use the extra dishes and waste the extra time in the kitchen, but I will not.

You just need the Belgian waffles, melting chocolate, and sprinkles! Some people might want to make their own chocolate and again, you do you. This is just as good, I promise.

You melt the chocolate in the microwave--and some people will be all, "Oh no, the radiation!" and whatever, and want to melt it on the stovetop. It's a no from me.

Melt the chocolate, spread on the waffles, add sprinkles, and you're done. Let the chocolate set or dig in right away. These would be perfect for a sweet treat or even Valentine's Day. EVERYONE does the boring chocolate dipped strawberries (which are good) but this is a more unique dessert.

Will you be trying these?
