Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

....to be glad things are slowly returning to normal in Texas. Most boil water notices have been lifted, and there are groceries in stores. (I went a few days ago and shelves were pretty bare!)

.....to can't believe it's my son's birthday next week. He'll be 19. Ack!

.....to have ordered my son's birthday cake from a woman in the neighborhood. I can make basic cakes, but I always like to get nicer ones for birthdays and support small businesses.

.....to think it's cute that my daughter Natalie is SO EXCITED for the Billie Eilish documentary coming out on Apple TV on Friday. She's hoping that there will be "merch" to buy to go with it but she only has like $13 in her wallet.

.....to be grateful that we didn't go through too much insanity last week. We only lost power for 12 hours and we didn't have any pipes burst. We made it through and I truly hope everyone else who is still in a bit of shock does as well. This photo is our WE MADE it pic:

  1. I’m so glad to hear that you safely made it through the Texas snowstorm (and with no broken pipes).

I like buying local for birthday cakes too. It makes the day feel more special. ❤️

  11. I'm glad to hear things are looking up. I hope most everyone is starting to get things back to normal in Texas. My sister is moving down there next month too, so hopefully things are good by then as well.
