Shopping At Red Rooster Antiques

Vintage stores are pretty fabulous. You never know what you'll find. There's a store by my parents called Red Rooster Antiques and it's full of neat things. Here's what we found a few weeks ago.

Natalie has always been excited to look at records. She does have a record player. She was looking for The Beatles but didn't find any. 

She also appreciates "old fashioned" furniture and totally goes with the couch.

There are also tons of creepy dolls. If you want to get some cheaper Halloween decor, go here. 

I love Tudor history, so I thought this Barbie was cool, but it was too expensive:

If you need a giant Elvis, look no further:

This dollhouse reminded me of the one on Gilmore Girls. If you've never seen Gilmore Girls, you should. It's on Netflix.

Natalie has always loved Marilyn Monroe. She ended up buying a picture of her. She says what happened to Marilyn reminds her of what is happening to Britney Spears and hopes Britney can be helped. 

We love Disney and thought this Mickey Mouse phone was neat:

Remember the scary dolls? Yup. They are everywhere. The bear might be haunted too.

Natalie did find some other things she liked. 

She picked up this Squeaky Cat from the 60s:

This dress that said it was from the 1950s. Actually it's a nightgown, but she wears it as a dress and received so many compliments:

Plus this post card from 1913. She thought it was so cool and yes, there was a brief message on it. I couldn't help but wonder if post cards that we write will be in an antique store 100 years from now.
