Birthday Gift Ideas For Twenty Year Olds

I know some people might be all, "Why are you still giving presents to a twenty year old?" because most twenty year olds move out and maybe just money on their birthdays. But my son still lives at home. He goes to community college, he has autism, and his goal is to move out one day. But I am not someone who will ever push their kid into the world because they are ready.

So yes, my son will still be getting presents, and heck, even when he moves out he still might because I love giving gifts.

Here are some things a twenty-year-old might enjoy. As always cash and gift cards are always accepted with excitement.

My son loves anime and plays this game called Genshin Impact. I found this hoodie on Amazon and you can get it here:

My son loves video games and wanted to try the Zelda ones:

Tommy needed headset for when he plays his computer games so I found this on Amazon here:

This is another character from Genshin Impact that I found on Amazon here:

Food is always big for Tommy. So I always add food items as gifts:

Disney World has always been a favorite place for Tommy. I hope we can always go every year because it truly makes him happy. Disney World is celebrating their 50th Anniversary and BoxLunch had some cool items. This shirt is no longer available on the website, but you might find it in stores!

Box Lunch also had this fabulous 50th Anniversary coat. It's also not on the website anymore but could still be in the store:

Here's the back:

Tommy turns 20 on March 2nd and I can hardly believe it. He's no longer a teenager. Ack. And he's set to graduate from community college next year. I am incredibly proud of him and hope he has a wonderful birthday.

Do you or would you still gifts to older kids?

  2. Absolutely! I will always give gifts. My Mom & Dad gave me small gifts until they couldn't shop anymore (in their 80'S!). At some point, kids may have their own kids. In that case, the grandkids will get more presents than their parents, but the parents will never be cut off completely!

  4. I love the jacket you got him! Our kids are all older and still get gifts. I know my friends kids are 25 and above and they still get gifts. I think it depends on the parent. But I also feel you do for your child(ren) as you see fit!

  8. I buy one of my nephews gifts, he's still a teen, but it is a gag thing between the two of us. I am certain he'd like a couple of these items. Yes, gift cards, gas cards and cash still work too.
