Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

HEY, IT'S OKAY....

....to be thinking about the situation in Ukraine often. I can't imagine what it must be like for the parents shielding their children from war over there. If you want to donate to help the people, please go here

....to can't believe my son will be TWENTY on March 2nd. WTF? He's a pretty simple person. He wants lunch at McDonald's and dinner at Taco Bell.

.....to currently be reading Reminders Of Him by Colleen Hoover. It's about Kenna, who has just been released from jail. She was put in jail for a car accident that killed her boyfriend. While in jail she discovered she was pregnant and since she gave birth while in jail, her boyfriend's parents raised and got custody of her daughter. Kenna is hoping she can see her daughter but her boyfriend's parents think Kenna killed their son so it's not going well.

....to eventually be going to see The Batman. My daughter and I plan to laugh throughout it because it's hard to take Robert Pattinson seriously, especially when he does his fart face. He kind of squishes it up when he's trying to be serious. We noticed it a TON in the Twilight movies, which we also mocked mercilessly.

......to love going to Culver's. The burgers are delicious and the desserts are even better. I got the banana split the last time we went.

  1. I know what you mean about the shock of your son turning 20. My daughter will be 32.

  2. I can't believe how fast the kids grow up. Mine aren't as old as your son, but it seems like they were babies yesterday.

  4. Oh my that Banana Split looks too delicious to eat. (But I would anyways). My youngest is over 30 now so I know what you mean about aging right before our eyes. I have a love affair with Culvers myself, shhh don't tell.

  5. it's ok that my fur baby is no longer with me. She had cancer, She had lost so much weight even though I gave half a can of food twice a day. But it's still hard when I come home and she is not at the door to greet me. But it's ok.

  8. And it's also okay to not watch the new Batman movie. I'm not convince it's good.

  9. I love going to Culvers as well. It's one of my families favorite restaurants. I also have to say I'm excited to see Batman, but worried it may not be as good. Still going to see it though.

  11. We love Culvers too! They have the best custard! I hope Putin stops the war soon, although we made it 70+ years without a world war, so who knows, maybe the world is due for another battle.

  12. Kids grow up so fast you won't even notice it. One day they were still babies, not a full grown adult! My 18 years old son plans his own thing now.

  18. I saw a group of people by a Caritas booth at Vienna's train station, and a woman carrying a bag in front of her, and there was a cat carrier among her luggage, she has two cats in there and my heart melted...she escaped Ukraine and didn't leave her pets. Yeah, I can't unthink of that scene...but I'm more hopeful anyway...
