How Valentine's Day Went

First of all we do not go out on Valentine's Day. I always marvel at the people who brave the crowds and go out to eat on that day. I don't think I'd have the patience.

I also told my husband to NOT get me flowers. We have flowers all over this house from when Natalie did her play. She got lots of flowers and all our vases are full of them.

We do exchange gifts. But nothing crazy.

I did order a breakable chocolate heart from someone in the neighborhood because yum, chocolate, also it came with chocolate covered strawberries. Double yum. Does breaking a heart with a tiny hammer on Valentine's Day seem violent? Perhaps. But it's fun.

I got a Grogu Funko Pop because I LOVE Grogu. Yes it sort of looks like he's on the toilet after consuming Taco Bell, but he's actually using The Force.

I also got a plush Grogu:

Naturally, I also got a Grogu card and a sweet note:

I gave my husband the following:

Tommy got these:

Natalie got these:

We just ate dinner at home. Tom made his delicious chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Natalie wore her vintage dress that she found on Etsy to school.

I think the listing said the dress was from the 70s.

She misses the Valentine's Day parties from elementary school. In high school there are no parties. She still passed out some treat bags and valentines to friends and was insulted that she still homework assigned.

Did you have a good Valentine's Day if you celebrate?

  3. I'm guessing you're a Grogu fan lol! My husband took work off and we watched Disney Eternals while my daughter was in preschool. My daughter got to hand out valentine's to her classmates.

  8. I love that Natalie still celebrates in her own unique way. The dress is fantastic. We went out the day before to avoid the crowds. And then spent the evening together which was special to us. I love all of the different chocolate treats that were given out to your husband and kids and what you received. Very nice.

  11. We didn't go out to dinner on Valentine's Day. The restaurants are always way too crowded. I prefer at-home dates for big holidays
