Southerleigh Haute South At The Rim Review

I am a huge fan of Southern food. Before Tom deployed, we went to Southerleigh Haute South, which is located at The Rim in San Antonio.

It's lovely inside. It recently opened so everything looks clean and updated:

There is a bar if you want to go in for drinks and watch the game:

Here are some of the drinks:

Check out the menu:

We started off with the Cornbread Puffs which had a spice to them. They were served with crystal butter. I also got the sweet tea, which was nice and sugary. Some places say they have sweet tea and it's barely sweet, which irks me.

Tom got the shrimp po'boy and thought it was delicious. The shrimp were cooked nicely and the bun was fresh. The fries were amazing as well.

I got the spicy fried chicken. The breading was flavorful. The biscuit was okay. It's their signature honey fried biscuit. I prefer the ones from Popeyes. But their mac and cheese?

I loved it. Cheesy! Scrumptious! I'm not sure the spices on top, but I was a fan. I am so getting this again.

I recommend checking out this spot. It is a comfortable date spot. I was stuffed so I couldn't get dessert, but they have a fabulous menu. There are fried pies, a lemon tart, a sundae...so many options. So save room!

To learn more about Southerleigh Haute South and check out their hours, go here. Let me know what you get.
