I absolutely love the movie A League Of Their Own. There's a television show with the same name on Amazon Prime that is also entertaining--but the movie has my heart. I always tear up at the end. I was thrilled when my daughter ended up enjoying the movie as well to the point where she wanted her own Rockford Peach outfit.
We found it on Spirit Halloween, but most stores carry these now. My longtime readers might remember that Natalie wore a Rockford Peach costume years ago.
This was back when it was tougher to find the costume, mind you. I had to have it made by a woman on Etsy. Natalie had seen the movie at this point but didn't quite understand it. She just approved of the costume because it was pink and it was fun to run around the baseball diamond. (She did have a short stint with softball but got too distracted in the outfield.)
Oh, and Tommy was Jimmy Dugan. He had seen the movie too and naturally loved the famous "There's no crying in baseball!" scene, because who doesn't?
Anyhow, this costume is well made, but I recommend getting red bike shorts underneath because it is pretty short, so when the ladies are worried about the length in the movie, they aren't being dramatic.
The bat was basically a prop we got at Five Below. We aren't sporty people so we didn't have a bat in the house.
Such a great movie!
