We're back from a fabulous stay at Walt Disney World. As always, we had the best time and did a bunch of different activities.
One of the first things we did was head over to the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. We were impressed with all the gorgeous topiaries and food offered. There's over 15 booths and special merchandise available for purchase, plus vibrant flowers everywhere.
As I mentioned, the topiaries are gorgeous. They're scattered throughout the park.
The food booths are located in various countries and at the front of the World Showcase in Epcot.
We also got the caramelized beignet and oh my gosh, yum. I was sorry I had to share with the kids:
The Beauty & the Beast topiaries are in France and are popular so there will probably be a line to take a photo with them:
In Morocco, we stopped off at the Tangerine Cafe booth:
We got the Hummus Trio and I thought it was a great deal for like $6. You got 3 different hummus flavors: traditional, beet, and avocado. The avocado one was the winner!
The Japan booth was our absolute favorite. Why?
Well, there's this thing called FRUSHI and it was incredible. It's made with strawberry, pineapple, & lychee wrapped with sweet rice and pink soy. It was served with whipped cream & raspberry puree to dip it in. I loved it so much that I went back and got more:
I do not like seafood, but the kids do, so they got the Hanami Sushi which was lemon cured salmon, soy marinated tuna, and cured mackarel. They gobbled it right up and ordered it again on another night.
More toparies!
The Brunchcot Booth was another hit:
We got the avocado toast which was gobbled down quickly:
The Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites also had a delectable flavor:
We washed it all down with a Froot Loop shake. It tasted like the milk left after you finish all the Froot Loops. The only thing that was icky was that the cereal on top got soggy. We tried to eat them all but some slipped through so you'd be left with mush.
We stopped by the Farmer's Feast booth next:
The tomato and red onion panzanella made us feel better since we felt like we were eating lots of junk, ha.
I was intrigued by the sweet cream brulee. It almost tasted like the regular one, but with a hint of sweet corn:
The Flower & Garden Festival has many gorgeous displays:
Who else loves Figment?
Everything is beautiful:
Makes me wish I could grow stuff:
Were we done eating? No! Off to Florida Fresh!
I had to try the strawberry shortcake. It was okay. The bread was a little rough but the strawberries were tasty:
The Grilled Street Corn on the Cob is a must! Amazing flavors!
Natalie made a friend as we ate:
The final item we got was the violet lemonade. It was refreshing on the ultra hot day. And pretty! Oh, and you can eat the flowers that are on all the dishes. They don't really taste like much though.
I adored this Miss Piggy & Kermit topiary:
This was neat in Japan:
The Flower & Garden Festival lasts until July 5th so you still have time to check it out! If you go, let me know what your favorite topiary was and if you also love the frushi.
Have you ever been to this festival before? If you can't make this one, the Food & Wine festival is next, and yup, we've been to that one as well. I prefer this one though since the flowers are beautiful and I liked the food better. (Frushi! Avocado Toast! Grilled corn on the cob! Goat Cheese croissant!)
I've always wanted to go to the Flower and Garden festival. I love the Muppets topiary!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely visit the Flower & Garden Festival if I were at Walt Disney World! The food looks really delicious too! The Fried Cinnamon Roll bites - yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to admit that we rarely eat when we go to Epcot. The kids are too busy running us from ride to ride. I think I have to take an adult only trip one day to really enjoy it all.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I didn't expect the food there to be so good!!! I was drooling whilst reading this. The caramelized beignet sounds gorgeous, I've never had a beignet before and didn't know they came in different flavours. And the cinnamon bites, OMG!!!!
