This weekend, we're off to Walt Disney World. My longtime readers will know that we go every year because it's truly our happy spot. Yes, I am a Disney Adult and no I'm not embarrassed to be one. My son is also a Disney Adult. My daughter is sixteen but the odds of her being an Disney Adult are high.
My son's college graduation gift from my parents was being able to stay at the Yacht Club. We've never been and they told him he could pick any resort he wanted. We've already been at the following spots: Beach Club, Grand Floridian, All Stars Sports, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Port Orleans Riverside. The Port Orleans resorts are what we normally can afford thanks to the military discount. But when special occasions come up, my parents allow us to stay at fancier spots. (No way could I have afforded Grand Floridian. That was an incredible experience.)
We're excited to be at a new spot. We stayed at the Beach Club before and it's right next door. We didn't get to try out the awesome pool since it closed for refurbishment, but now it's open. (The Beach Club and Yacht Club share a pool called Stormalong Bay which is considered to be the best pool on property thanks to the lazy river, sand bottom zone, and a neat water slide that looks like a pirate ship.)
I told Tommy he could pick any restaurant to celebrate at and guess what he picked? Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom. It's like Thanksgiving there. It's all you can eat meats, sides, and dessert. I think he likes the fact that it's all you can eat. You certainly do not go hungry there.
I also got us reservations at the new spot in Hollywood Studios in Toy Story Land called Roundup Rodeo. That looks like a fun place from the videos I've seen on YouTube.
We're also doing Epcot After Hours which was a birthday gift to Tommy from my parents. It's basically a special event where you get free food and access to rides from 10 PM-1.
I know we'll have a blast. We always do! You can follow along in our adventures on my Instagram stories and I'll eventually write about it all here.
