I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
....to have been shocked that Natalie actually went to the Homecoming football game as we aren't really sports people. She said it was really loud and that she ate a pickle. Oh, and that her school's team won.
.....to be weirded out that some people still say Happy Columbus Day. Did they not read a book on what Columbus was really like? I noticed one person said he was a good guy and stopped all the tribal wars and I was like "the HELL?" Some people are deranged. Please, please, please, read a history book. A real one, not one that white washes everything.
.....to be glad all the wives are leaving on Sister Wives. Kody is a Kreep. There's only one wife remaining and I doubt she'll ever go.
.....to currently be reading Prom Mom by Laura Lippman. Back in high school Amber had a premature baby in the bathroom and claims she didn't know she was pregnant. Joe, the father, doesn't even consider her a girlfriend--in fact, he ditched her at prom when an ex he had been pining for showed him attention. Fast forward 20 years and Amber and Joe run into each other. Joe is married, but that doesn't stop them from getting too close...I'm nearly done and it's a good book. It falls into the 2020 time of coronavirus so I had some unpleasant flashbacks with that. But it's a book that keeps you hooked!
.....to have found Lewis at Target. If you don't know, videos of Lewis have gone viral because he's this big, spooky Halloween decoration who tells everyone that his name is Lewis. (Read his story here.) You'd think it would be something like Evil McOrange or something but no. He's Lewis. And this one even got a Target name tag.
Yes, I am also glad that most of Kody's wives have left him. I was so glad to read that Christine Brown just got married!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's okay that I am here even if I don't watch reality TV but that said I know who Kody is and that his wives have left being over his bullshit.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Sister Wives but Kody sounds like a real "prize" and if so the wives are better off without him.
ReplyDeleteLove your Target find. I need to shop more at Target.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had an eventful week! I'll have to look for Lewis in my Target.
ReplyDeleteI've never had someone say Happy Columbus Day, lol. Glad to hear that Natalie had a good time at homecoming!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute that the store prop has its own lore and name! Hello Lewis!
ReplyDeleteLol how I wish we do have target here I want to see Lewis, so cute!
ReplyDeleteNatalie's school team won that a good thing. And the book sounds good, I'd love if you would review it. And Lewis's video I just saw from here wow thats so good, and sadly we dont have target here.
ReplyDeleteYessss! First, seriously about the Columbus Day. My husband's family is Italian-American and they know better now. It was a completely made up story in the 50s. Why they didn't choose Amerigos who wasn't horrific and whose name is the reason for the continent I shall never know, but yes, what is the matter with people?
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for someone to dish Sister Wives with. Why did it take so long??? He's so mean ad narcissistic to them. He wraps the weirdest narratives around everything so he has no culpability. Run, ladies, run hard and fast!
I really like this Lewis! My house will be decorated with this and it will be the centerpiece of the room.
ReplyDeleteOk, what happened to the baby at prom night? :D It's totally okay to try like Natalie and not liking watching a game. :D
