The Five Nights At Freddy's movie comes out on October 27th. Yes, my daughter Natalie already has a ticket to see it in theaters. You can also catch it on Peacock, but Natalie insists the theater experience is needed for this kind of movie. I am too frightened to see it, I won't even lie. Just watching her play the game on the computer made me jump, so it's a no from me.
For those who don't know, it started as a game where the animatronics in a kids pizza place (think Chuck E Cheese) are possessed. They kill anyone they see and stuff them into the animatronics suit. So. Yeah. Spooky.
If you have a kid in your life that enjoys Five Nights At Freddy's, I have some easy costume ideas. My daughter wore these throughout the years as she's been a fan of the franchise for quite some time.
First up, she wore this when she was like 10. This is the marionette costume and I admit, we bought it from someone on Etsy, but if you're crafty you can totally do this yourself. It's basically just a plain black tee, black leggings, felt buttons and striped socks and hand gloves. The mask you don't even need. You can just paint it directly on the face:
You can also do Glamrock Chica easily. My daughter found a pink leotard, neon fingerless gloves, leg warmers, the white wig, and the pink corset on Amazon. She used white tights as well, plus a pink Jojo Siwa bow from her old collection:
Her makeup was white powder and a bunch of pink. She just checked a photo online of Glamrock Chica and copied that:
Finally, Natalie put together this regular Chica cosplay with stuff she had around the house. That's a white tennis skirt, a yellow sweater, and a white decorated tank. Chica is yellow, so she added those tones to her face and went with an 80s vibe.
And, fun fact, for one of her birthdays she had a Chica cake:
As you can see, all of these can easily be put together with things you might have in your home already.
Will you be seeing the Five Nights At Freddy's movie?
