The Voyage To Disneyland On Southwest Airlines

So no, I am not a fan of flying on airplanes.

But it's either that or drive for hours on end, and I am not a fan of that either. I know people are like, "Oh, road trips!" but after an hour I'm pretty much over it.

So I suck up not liking airplanes and just take a lot of Xanax. I'm kidding. I distract myself with a new book.

I always try to get a direct flight if we can, and Southwest usually has one available.

We usually always fly Southwest. For one, each person can have 2 pieces of checked luggage for free. Two, I can generally find a great deal.

Yes, they do not have assigned seats, but if you check in exactly 24 hours before your flight, you can get a good group position. (There is A, B, and C groups.) If you have kids 6 and under, there's family boarding as well.

Anyhow.

Our flight was on time, which is a win.

You get a complimentary non-alcoholic drink. If you need booze, I think they are like $7.

You also get a snack mix and biscotti cookies.

Some airlines don't even give anything out anymore.

We had a smooth ride. Before we landed, Natalie did her makeup.

I just looked like a bag of ass, personally.

But Natalie wanted to land in Los Angeles looking put together.

We landed at LAX on time. Natalie changed. I did not.

Our luggage popped out quickly. Always a win.

And then our car service picked us up. If you're headed to LAX and need a ride, I suggest Diamond Driver Guy. They can take you nearly anywhere around the area and they even do private tours. You will get your driver 24 hours prior with their phone number. You just text when you land and let them know what pillar you're at and then they show up. We waited less than 5 minutes. Your ride also includes a stop at a grocery store--we didn't need one, so we opted for Randy's Donuts!

More on that in a future post.

Our drive to Anaheim was smooth. It takes about 45 minutes if you don't hit traffic. We flew in around 125 PM so we didn't have any traffic jams.

Our car dropped us off in front of our hotel. We stayed at the Tropicana which is located right across the street from Disneyland.

I'll be writing about our stay soon.

Then we were ready to start our adventure!

Have you ever been to Disneyland?
