Exploring The Art Of Animation Cars Area

Who loves the movie Cars?

My son used to be obsessed with it. He had the toys, the sheets, the clothes....

So naturally he wanted to check out the Cars area at the Art of Animation resort when we were at Walt Disney World. There are different sections there: The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and of course, Cars. The hotel is popular with families because there are family suites for a fair price, since it's considered to be value resort. It's also dog friendly!

Even better, it is a Skyliner resort, so you have easy access to two parks: Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

We took the Skyliner from Epcot and headed to Art of Animation. The ride took maybe 20-25 minutes.

And yes, it is so cool.

Disney is always fantastic at having the cool details.

It truly is the neatest area to take photos. I remembered Tommy as a little boy pushing around the cars from the movie. We still have many of the original ones.

It's like you're in Radiator Springs!

It didn't seem too chaotic. Since it's a popular family resort, I was worried there would be people everywhere, but there wasn't.

Basically every character from the Cars movies are there.

And yes, of course there's Lightening McQueen and Sally! When it starts to get dark, the headlights turn on.

If there's a Cars fan in your family, take them to the Art of Animation!

We plan on returning so we can check out the other areas. If they're as detailed as Cars, we know they'll be amazing.

Have you ever stayed at the Art of Animation?

  5. I absolutely loved your vivid description of Radiator Springs coming to life at the Art of Animation resort—it’s like stepping straight into the movie, especially with those iconic headlights turning on at dusk. Reading about Tommy’s fascination made me smile, and I can totally picture how magical that photo-worthy atmosphere must have felt.
