Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up!

-----------

To be excited that Sophie Kinsella has a new book coming out on Valentine’s Day.

To have gotten a paper on Kindergarten Round Up and thought, “Holy crap. Next year both kids will be in school full time!” That’ll be weird.

To want to see that new show Smash.

To have had to ask on Facebook what smh meant. A lot of people would write it and I’d be like, “What?” And I follow Michael Phelps on Twitter, and he used it, and I thought, “Is it some bizarre swimming term?” No. It turns out it means shake my head. Oh.

To think there are way too many award shows for celebrities. There should be the Emmys and the Oscars. That’s it. None of this People’s Choice/SAG/Golden Globe crap.

To be glad that the neighbor’s plant that I’m watching is still alive.

To really want to go back to NYC. Soon.

To have cried over the latest episode of Downton Abbey. Don’t worry, I won’t say why. But really, if you haven’t seen the show yet, you should! The first season is on Netflix!

To be worried that my blog button on my sidebar is now showing a black box with an exclaimation point. Can someone help? I paid someone to make it and I'm assuming their Photobucket account was closed or something...

  1. Your poor blog button! I think you're right about why it's not working. See if they'll give you the file, so you can but it on your photobucket account. Good luck with that!

  9. SMH - yeah that one baffled me too. I am so behind the times when it comes to internet short hand. I thought it meant SHIT MY ____, but could never figure out what the "H" was. Then I googled it to find out what it meant and felt a little let down.

  17. My daughter wrote brb on our facebook conversation then didn't reply to my next comment. When I got tired of waiting, I wrote her a very stern message telling her it's rude to walk away from the computer without a word and leaving people hanging. She came back and explained that the brb means "be right back". Doh! So, being the illiterate social networker that I am, I appreciate learning that SMH means "shake my head". I'll have to work in into my next conversation with her. ;)

  18. wait until tomorrow and see if your blog button is working then. photobucket accounts have a monthly bandwidth limit and we're at the end of the month.

If it still isn't working tomorrow, I would try contacting them to see if they can email you a copy.

  19. And because I know how to check to see if I could find the image using the internet archive way back machine, I did get a copy of the image. Will email it to you incase it doesn't come back tomorrow.

  21. So relieved the plant is still alive. LOL. I'm laughing at the "black box with the exclamation point". I looked at it and go, "What the heck happened to the original picture?"

  22. It took me forever to figure out smh I just thought it was like a sound people were trying to say or well type.

Congrats on keeping the plant alive! I had one for a very short time, I ended up giving to to my mom to take care of. Living things really arnt my thing.
