Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. They have a section called Hey, It’s Okay and will list a bunch of things to be okay about. You're welcome to join in and do something like this on your blog. Doesn't have to be on a Tuesday either. Just make sure you link up and that the post you link up is a Hey, It's Okay Post. Grab the button if you'd like!
-----------

--To not care that a football was deflated in a game. I hate football. Is it over yet? I'm sick of it interrupting my shows.

--To think American Sniper deserves all the Oscars it is nominated for. I know some people are like, "Chris Kyle lied in his book," but you know, the man was still a hero. Stop bashing him. He left behind a wife and two children. They don't need to hear the nonsense.

--To be sad that Parenthood is ending on Thursday. I love that show! I even wrote a blog post on why I love it here.

--To survive meltdowns like the one I survived last week by consuming lots of chocolate.

--To not be watching American Idol. I just plain don't care.

--To think that the documentary While Time Stands Still is something all military families should watch.

--To be SO CLOSE to paying off my car. Only $800 left. And then we'll be completely debt free!

--To have gone on a date with Tommy after I dropped Natalie at the Give Parents A Break program that the base does for military families once a month. I'm glad I don't embarrass him. He still finds me amusing.

  2. I gave up on American Idol years ago. After the Lee DeWyze season. I was not impressed with him. I only liked Casey James. After Adam Lambert was on the show, the seasons after that paled in comparison. I also was annoyed that Simon left. It's just not the same! I loved his snarky comments.
Are you at Hooter's in that picture? Not judging because I miss their wings now that I only eat Kosher meat. I used to love going there!

  3. I used to watch American Idol but then I got over it last year. I agree about football - I want regular tv! :)

  4. (I hope this isn't a duplicate...my computer is acting funky!)

    Anyway.

Nothing better than a paid off anything. But a paid off car is the bomb.

A year ago, I paid off my car. And the very month I made that last payment, my daughter turned 16 and started driving.

    So, what does that mean?

    Momma gets a new car.

That comes with a new car note.

The circle never ends, sister...it never ends.

  6. I don't even remember the last time I watched American Idol. I could not care any less about that show.

Congrats on being close to paying off your car! Debt free is a great feeling that I hope to one day remember because as soon as we were, both cars broke down beyond repair. Sigh.

I don't care about football but I hate cheating.

  7. Amen on the football! And I am also so sad about Parenthood. I hope it ends well and they don't mess it up!! Love that the base gives the families a break! That's awesome! And that your son still loves mother/son dates. And woohoo on the car... just a heads up. After I paid mine off and did my dance... it went to crap! Hoping that is not the case for you!

  10. American Sniper deserves every award ever offered anywhere....even, like, ones for animation or anything mainly CGI or humanitarian awards for service animals. It was amazing. I can.not believe anyone would DARE speak out against this obvious hero and his family. They should feel ashamed of themselves. Every person that serves our country is a hero...and that means the people who are fighting AND the families they leave behind. You guys are amazing.

Sorry for the rant.....I have seen the movie and read the back-lash from the media and it is maddening.

  13. Oh geez! The best feeling when you send in that last payment! Congrats in advance!

I'm so sad to see parenthood end. It's not right! That show must continue! I love it so much. Still in denial.

  15. Dance party to celebrate that final payment. That's so awesome. Not even interested in Idol or Oscars. Didn't even here know a football was deflated during a game. Not paying attention to football either.

  16. Congrats on the car! That's a big deal. We don't have car payments, but we have day care payments instead. Those will end in September!! I'm excited about that.

  24. I have yet to see American Sniper... but I heard it was getting some negativity (and trolls). Kinda sad to discredit or defame someone who cannot defend or speak anymore.
I wish I had watched Parenthood. I'll have to check Netflix and see if I can catch up.
