Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

....to be going out for Valentine's Day lunch with my husband. It'll be way too busy in the evening to go out.

....to be ordering pizza for dinner on Valentine's Day. Neither of us wants to cook.

....to want to see The Lego Movie 2 this weekend but I always worry seeing a kid movie in theaters. Some parents don't feel like they should keep their children quiet, which gets annoying fast. Then I have to say something to the parent and they give me a dirty look, but hey, I'm no going to pay $10 to hear your kid scream the entire time or run up and down the aisles.

....to be excited that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is returning this week. Charlie Sheen's ex-wife is a cast member now.

....to be putting in hardwood downstairs. Well, not us. We hired a company to pull up the carpet and put it in. We still have carpet upstairs though. I personally like carpet. My husband prefers hardwood. Max is confused on what is happening.

  2. Maybe if you go to the Lego movie at night there will be less annoying kids there.

  3. ‪I know you’re a carpet person, but the dust bunnies you get with hardwood are amazing . ‬And hardwood can put up with a ton of abuse (obviously, pro-hardwood).

We will be doing nothing for Valentine’s Day, I hate waiting for a table at a place we could normally walk in to. We lead such a glamorous life!

  4. We did an early valentines day dinner since i will be gone for 3 weeks. Which was way okay for both of us.

  5. I can't stand it when a kid screams during a movie and the parents refuse to take them out - same thing in a restaurant. I mean, I get it, kids scream, but at least be considerate enough to take them out.

  6. It is okay to have Valentines Lunch we did a early dinner this weekend and we saw the Lego Movie Sunday evening at 7 because I knew most families wouldn't attend a show at that time and I was right. There was less than 10 people in the theater and most was parents.

  7. I also love hardwood floors unfortunately we have carpet now but planning to change that soon.

  8. I hear you on the whole movie thing! We rarely see films in theaters for that very reason. Even adults seem to struggle with being quiet or leaving their phones alone.

  9. It's okay that Valentine's Day means nothing to me, hahahaha!

  11. My husband and I have not figured out Valentines day yet. We will drop the boys off at the church kid thing and then figure it out.

  12. I like going to the cinema as well but I do remember that a few weeks ago I went to see Marry Poppins and there was someone with two children who kept going in and out during the performance, disturbing everyone.

  13. It’s always ok to order pizza - no matter what the occasion 😉😉

  14. I'm laughing pretty hard over the ordering pizza. That's exactly what my husband and I do. We don't like getting wrapped up in the crowds.

  15. I'm not too keen on going to a restaurant with hubby for Valentine's Day either. We are much more of a lunch crowd anyways.

  16. We are going glamping for the first time this weekend - and are a little hesitant about it.

  17. I'm thinking we're going to order pizza too. We've been really good about eating exclusively at home and I'm tired of cooking.

  18. Yes it is always ok. We never really do anything special for Valentine's day we would rather show our love throughout the year instead of on one day. We just don't worry much about it.

  19. Pizza is a great Valentine's day dinner. We didn't think of that though so we are making pancakes.

  20. My husband and I are going to breakfast but that's not on purpose. It just worked out

  21. It's definitely okay! Couldn't agree more. I like to make out of the ordinary activities. After all, normal is boring lol I'm planning on cooking dinner and maybe have a board games night. Hope that you guys enjoy your Valentine's<3

  23. I love this post idea! I’ll habe to try and get an “okay” post done this week. We’ll be having a low-key valentines as well, I’m all about pizza
If it means I don’t have to cook!

  25. Hey it's okay that I got some stuff to do and not becoming lazy about it. Life is exciting to worry about small things I suppose.

  26. Wow! This is totally great! I will be going out with my husband too. I am so excited for coming Valentine's!

  27. Well, I am single and I will say it's ok ;) Enjoy your valentine day

  28. I'm totally with you on not liking to see kids movies in theaters because it never fails that when I go there is ALWAYS a kid running up and down the aisles and screaming and the parent just ignores them. So frustrating. UGH.

  29. We have carpet on our first house but on our second home, we preferred the hardwood floors. Goodluck on your project.

  30. I have to agree with you, the movies are not the place to let your kids run around screaming. When you consider some people may have paid a lofty price for their family, they deserve to have a quiet environment for viewing. I may or may not have been the one to tell parents to control their kids. :)

  31. I think it is not a good idea taking young kids to movie theatres. Having an enjoyable time with them at home is enough or some other places but not movie theatres.

  32. I love this post! Tomorrow my husband and I will be picking up a gourmet pizza and heading over to a friends house for a double date! One of our friends just had surgery on his leg and must stay home to recover, so we are popping over to liven things up for them. Then my hubby and I will be doing something special for ourselves over the weekend!

  33. I love the idea of ordering pizza for dinner on Valentine's day. I think it is fun to stay home to watch our favorite movie and at the same time enjoy our favorite pizza with some beer. Valentine do not have to be too fancy, important thing is to have that special person be with you and spend happy time.

  34. Valentine's is a day for love, so since there should be amor everyday, Babushka's all for going out for dinner anyday/everyday.

  35. Yes it’s okay if you just want to relax and ordered something on Valentines Day. Max really looks curious at what’s happening on your house downstairs.

  36. I have to agree I dislike undisciplined screaming children at public eateries and movie theaters. You forgot to mention along with the exuberant ticket price you pretty much have to ask for a finance plan to purchase from the snack bar. lol

  37. To me I've never been one to be admit to celebrate a holiday on that day. Life happens and it is the thought that counts, two days before after, or a lunch will work.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It is always a good idea to stay at home on festival days and enjoy there. There is too much rush outside on festival days which adds to more trouble

  39. Your stairs carpet looks good, makes your home more welcoming. Glad your cat doesn't scratch it often.
