Hey, It's Okay

I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.

Hey, It's Okay....

.....to have FINALLY found the rose gold Disney mini backpack on the Shop Disney website to purchase! It's a Christmas gift for myself. My husband said if it ever came in stock to just buy it, because he's "not wasting time constantly checking a site for something with sequins." I can't help it. I love rose gold! (It's here if interested, but it sells out fast so the link might not work.)

....to be looking forward to Natalie's dance recital this week. In her middle school, you can take dance and it counts as PE. So they just learn different dance styles. It's nothing terribly fancy.

....to probably be going to see Bohemian Rhapsody with my daughter this weekend. She's always loved Queen even though she's only 11. I taught my kids what real music sounded like at a young age so they wouldn't think Ariana Grande was it.

....to be attending Tommy's IEP meeting. It's an important one because a representative from the Texas Workforce Commission will be there to discuss jobs he can have after he graduates. Since he has autism, there might be some jobs that wouldn't be a fit, so they help him find one he can comfortably do. (His goal is to do something with editing videos. He loves to do that.)

....to like this family photo. We went out with family at the Hilltop Restaurant in Castroville, Texas. It's such a gorgeous area, and I highly recommend it. (Yup, my son is still refusing to cut his hair. My daughter won't smile with her teeth, and that's how my husband "smiles.")

  2. I really like the "Hey, It's Okay" thread. Neat idea. My thoughts for today are like "hey, it's okay if some people PCS to where you are and find a job easily, even if you have been on 900 interviews in a full suit and still haven't landed one." Just keep swimming.

  15. I love that they are helping kids with Autism find their place in this world. It can be so hard when they are at the age of self discover and trying to figure out what they want to do. I hope they give him some neat ideas.

  22. I'm not a huge fan of Queen, I do like a few of their songs, but Freddy's story sounds so inspiring. I was reading about him being picked on for his teeth & him being shy. Glad that your son is getting help to aim for his goals in life.
